sight of snow pack test was well below treeline. 7 inches of fresh snow overnight. This was falling on a 1-2" melt freeze crust. The layers underneath the crust were completely faceted out with lager and more consolidated facets toward the ground. Compression test revealed a Q2 failure at the new snow, crust interface. A couple of extended column tests revealed no propagation.
