Overcast, becoming obscured by 16:00. Moderate to heavy (max S2) snowfall snow starting @ 8:00a tapering by 13:00. Strong S winds yesterday PM and last night. Moderate S valley wind in the early AM, becoming light to calm. Temps dropped through the day.

Snowpack

See profile from NE below treeline. HST 6cm. New snow seemed well bonded w/ little results in tilt test. Saw some rounding in upper spx, including Jan 11th interface. At this location it was much less reactive than seen in pits around the 1st of the month. No results w/ extended column. Strong S winds yesterday pushed around the little snow available for transport in the E River valley. Found localized areas of supportive, hollow snow from older previous wind loading below treeline.
