Snowpack
New snow well bonded to old surface on south and west aspects. Moderate Q2 shears at new snow interface on shady aspects. Shallow and weaker snowpack in this zone was stressed by high density snow that fell Saturday evening. Widespread whumpfing on northwest, northeast, north aspects. Mid and lower snowpack continues to get weaker on shady aspects. One of the surface hoar layers on shady aspects now buried 45-50 cm below surface. Failed upon isolation with Q1 results in several compression tests.
