Snowpack

We triggered numerous size 1 slides today in treeline terrain in RMNP on short, steeper (35-40) slopes. However, the biggest slide was SS-AS-D2-R2-I (1-2'deep x 500' wide x 600' long @ 11,600' on NE aspect). We found this instability all over but feel this slope mentioned above avalanched largely due to it's proximity to a large cliff that constantly sluffs and created a slightly more dense slab. Other slides were much smaller/localized. It snowed nearly all day, S1 to S2 at times. Good skiing, no, great skiing...what a great start to the winter! Thanks for your hard work!=
