Ski Touring Mount Hector

Very late spring like conditions today on Hector. We did lots of boot packing through the 'waterfall' as well as the last slope to the summit due to hard conditions. Had to take the skis off several times due to lack of snow.

The glacier had anywhere from 80-200+cm through the crevassed areas. Crampons, ski crampons and ice axes were very useful today.
