Weather
Gray sky to start the tour, but clouds broke around noon. Winds were light with moderate gusts as sky cleared. Light isolated snow showers were observed for a very short time and did not accumulate. Temperatures were cooler then previous days.
Snowpack
Cloudy skies prevented sunny slopes from softening at all elevations. Firm crusts were observed on South facing slopes. Northerly slopes produced variable riding conditions. Nonreactive breakable surface slabs were observed in exposed areas and pockets of dry snow were found in shadiest of slopes above treeline. In general the snowpack is taking the turn toward spring conditions. No signs of instability.

Wet-Loose activity observed out of steep rocky south facing slopes. Estimated 3/11/17
