Partially cloudy, approx 35 degrees, no wind during the day.

Snowpack

Wind loaded gullies, creating slabs from the surface to ~1.5ft in depth. Dry windblown powder.

Avalanche

Two skiers skinning 50ft apart traveled just above Seven Utes Chutes (10,800ft), NE side of Seven Utes Mountain. While skinning across slope (approx 40 degrees) the first skier triggered cracks and avalanche with 8-10 inch crown, 30-40ft across. Skier swept downhill approximately 200 yards to trees and lower angle slope (approx 20 degrees). Skier remained on top of snowpack after grabbing a small tree. Avalanche stopped after ~300 yards. No injuries. Second skier came down without triggering any other avalanche activity.
