Snowpack
SNOWPACK OBS: The snow surface stayed cold on this aspect and due to the swirling wind had a mixture wind textured and slight wind crust. The snow pack varies in depth and is approx 80 cm average consisting mostly of weak facets. Lower in the bowl and close to willows and scrub brush its weak and trap doorish. The rib that separates bowls 1 and 2 is wind affected with old tracks visible In areas where the most recent snow has been blow off the pack is even weaker. Development of medium size cornices seen at the top of the bowl, no collapsing seen or felt. Ski pen close to the ground lower in the bowl.
