Snowpack
10,500', N facing, below treeline. Surface hoar buried 1/11 20cm down, SH crystals 10-15mm. Surface hoar shows poor bonding in shovel tilt tests, I couldn't even lift my shovel without the surface hoar failing. 20cm thick fist layer between buried surface hoar and snow surface. CT12 PCx2 down 20 on the surface hoar. Under buried surface hoar was a 40 cm thick later of 4F .5mm(1mm) FC, which overlayed fist hard DH to the ground. CT21 SCx2 down 60cm. This interface also produced an ECTP 17 sudden collapse.
