Weather

New 1mm surface hoar on the surface of wind protected slopes in the a.m. Looked like it was mostly destroyed on southerly aspects by the afternoon with the warm temps and radiation. Clear all morning with high overcast in the afternoon. Strong westerly ridgetop winds with plumes of blowing snow off of the Ruby Range.

Snowpack

We had a good view of much of the Ruby Range and surrounding peaks, and saw no signs of avalanche activity since Monday night's snowfall. No signs of instability on our approach or ski.
