Calm. Clear skies and strong solar radiation all day. Observed air temp @ top of Red Mtn Pass: 9:23 -4.7°C. 14:00 2.5°C. Air temp 11:15a @ 12,090ft 6.5°C.
Snowpack
Highly variable. HS 0-130cm. Many E-SE slopes are bare or very shallow from scouring and melting. Adjacent E-NE leeward slopes have deep drifts from Nov 15-16. While shoveling, we found cracks @ mid-storm interface roughly 25cm (10") below the surface, and old snow surface buried on 11/15 down roughly 50cm (20") below the surface. Northerly slopes had facets on the ground. See profile graph.
