Weather
Breezy from SW and Sunny. Breeze kept snow surface colder and firmer much longer than expected on S facing slope. ESE facing slope was softer earlier as it was protected from wind more. Air temp at parking lot by 11am was quite warm.
Snowpack
Crust on top of softer snow. Crust was breakable by bootpack. Boots sunk 2-6 inches into snow under crust(in some cases up to 8 inches) At 12-13k ft crust was thinner, did not support boots much at all. at 11-12k it supported boots better. Snowpack definitely not fully matured yet.
