Valley inversion, so air warmed as I climbed. A few high clouds blocking the sun until 9am.

Snowpack

Traveled below treeline only. On west and north facing slopes. Average snowdepth 80cms, ski pen 20-60cms. Hard traveling breaking trail through facets and last weeks ~60cms.

Avalanche

Observed natural activity (est~1/18/2016) in near and above treeline terrain on northeast to southeast slopes.
