Bluebird. Southerly winds gusting to 20 mph
Snowpack
Dug a pit at 13,000 ft on the SE facing aspect. Compression test did not release at all, Shovel shear test exposed lots of layers all with clean shears. Skied the face at 11.15 - about 30 minutes too late. First 500 ft was nice corn with plentiful sloughing, after that I was sinking deep and the turns were heavy. Bailed early and booted up where the snowpack was thinnest. Skied Dave's Wave (S through SW aspect - the wave did not exist on March 22nd but was in good shape today). Did not dig a pit. Timing was great 12.15. Skied great corn without slough. No rotten snow to contend with.
Avalanche
A number of wet slides mainly on East facing slopes.
