Highly wind affected. Surface conditions on exposed slopes above treeline with polished hard wind slab or sastrugi. A 1 cm thick surface crust had formed on east through south aspects near and below treeline overnight. That was softened up and gone by 11am. Things really began to soften up by around noon today. ATL S aspects had corn skiing on hard slabs by noon. The other aspects had not quite seen enough warming to have melt water on the surface ATL. Wet activity not a problem ATL except for S aspects. As soon as you got below treeline, the wet snow surface was more pronounced
