A group of skiers were one at a time dropping off the face across from the Grounghog safety shelter when one of them triggered an avalanche . The slope was north facing with wind loading on it . We found a crust layer of facets buried approximately 30 cms under powder . The skier was able to ride to the side of the Avalanche and no one else was involved
