Nice day out for a loop through ledge basin and then up and out stadium glacier. Morning started off foggy and warm (maybe this led to the formation of another 5mm rime crust, reminiscent of last Sunday), but the sun came out as the day went on, and temps were dropping as we left. The snow in the ledge trees area (1200-1500m ESE) was less effected by the breakable crust but was heavy and getting wet in the sun exposed slopes. One small 4m slab in the recent storm released accidentally by a member of the party. Stadium glacier was beautiful but capped in the crust. We heard some whumpfing while crossing a flat but wind effected area (~1650m NW) chose to only ride low angle, supported slopes. Overall, observed lots of sluffing and point releases in steep terrain that likely happened Friday.
