Weather
Mostly clear with some clouds to the east. Temperature inversion with single digits in the valley and temperature in the 20's to start the morning. The temperature climbed to above freezing by midday. Some flagging observed on Daly from north winds.
Snowpack
Tracked persistent weak layers (12/10 and 12/28) are still visible and apparent in the profile near the Lone Tree Bowl start zone but these are fading into the overall weak, faceted, and shallow snowpack. There is just enough continuous snow in the east and northeast-facing portion of Lone tree Bowl to act as a future weak layer; however, the ground roughness and vegetation is starting to be more prevalent. Looking toward Chair and up the Crystal west and northwest facing alpine start zones are scoured while north facing alpine start zones are thin with rocks showing also on small more prominent features.
