Heavy snow throughout the day

Snowpack

125cm total snow. Old snow interface at 75cm (50cm new snow by 3:00pm) on flat aspect and slope at 9500ft elevation. 4F / F thick in new snow, pencil thick melt/ freeze crust at 75cm, 1F thick below. Attempted compression tests however the block broke as soon as it was formed. 1mm facets where the block broke.
