Weather

Warm temps, Broken skies, Moderate south winds.

Snowpack

A typical spring snowpack with 3" of 5% new snow accompanied by moderate to strong SSW winds overnight. This laid a windslab on a very smooth running surface on lee slopes.

Avalanche

SS-AS-R2-D2-I, NNE aspect estimated around 12,300'. It was hard to see where the skintrack was, but it is assumed that they triggered the avalanche from the ridge skinning up. Their ski tracks were visible from the ski area and didn't seem to interact with the avalanche. Given our snowpack and results on the ski area we have a hard time believing it could have been remotely triggered.
