Went up to find some new snow and check out how the snowpack is coming together. Dug a quick put around 1650 on a SE aspect ish and found the decomposing melt-freeze crust. Quick CT resulted in SC on the 16th tap. Higher up near 2000 on a NE ish aspect, we were looking for the persistent layer. Had to go around 30 taps to get the column to fracture, but got a clean fracture across the whole column 65cm down. Did a ECT and got some partial propagation at around 30 taps and the The rest of the column failed again cleanly with a sudden drop once we really started hitting hard (maybe 35 hits)
