Surface hoar had formed Sunday night and was glittering at treeline and most places that the wind couldn't get to. Moderate to strong SW winds at ridgeline, -10c @ 1400m in the AM and -5c at 2300m. Noticed a defined avalanche crown on a 2200m SE aspect, suspected to be the deep persistent problem on the early December crust. Sleds had been sending it high into committing chutes with no triggering of slabs. 20cm ski pen above treeline.
