Max temp of 26 degrees at the top of Storm Peak with obscured skies. Winds were breezy first thing this morning. As clouds thickened winds became calm at all elevations. Temperatures were warm. It felt very maritime and humid at elevations below about 8500 ft. Snow showers for a good part of the late morning with not much in the way of accumulations.
Snowpack
No signs of instability besides a few very small Loose Dry avalanches. As opposed to a snowpit yesterday around Buffalo Pass, on northerly slopes the storm snow is bonded well to an underlying crust. No graupel layers were found in Fish Creek. The snow surface became moist on all aspects with rollerballs out of northerly terrain below about 8500 ft. The overall snowpack on northerly slopes is about 2 meters deep and strong.
