Weather
Partly cloudy with moderate NW winds.
Snowpack
Crown profile of avalanche above Lost Lake: Ground-10cm pencil hard melt-freeze. 10-60cm 2-3mm depth hoar. 60-100cm pencil hard. 100-110cm fist hard new snow.
Avalanche
Remotely triggered this large avalanche while on flat ridge above the slope. The slope didn't trigger with heavy weighting on the cornice, but instead triggered while skinning away from edge of ridge. A second avalanche further south along this ridge is presumed to have been triggered remotely at the same time as this first avalanche.
