Weather

Cold day on North facing slopes. Clear blue sky with calm winds. 20cm of new snow from yesterday's storm.

Snowpack

Generally weak snow from top to bottom. Mid-pack slab was deteriorating and no longer supportive. Ski Pen on the skin track ranged from 20-30cm.

Avalanche

Observed a small avalanche across the valley on an east facing ATL wind-loaded bowl. Avalanche broke right underneath the rigdeline in steep terrain. Picture attached.
