Weather
1.5" of new snow with 0.15" of water content. Mostly cloudy skies with periods of light snow and moderate southwest winds with gusts to 50 mph. Temperatures warmed as the day progressed and the sun came out from time to time. Minimal additional new snow.
Snowpack
Southwest winds with stronger gusts built shallow (~10cm), fresh windslabs on a northeast aspect at treeline. Observed sensitivity was isolated. The modest new snow amount was well adhered to the old surface in other locations. Windward slopes near treeline were mostly scoured of the new snow by the moderate southwest winds and the 50 mph gusts.
