Intermittent clouds and sun all day with temps just barely tipping above 32 degrees at 2pm at the nearby PHQ weather plot. Breezy out of the SW.
Snowpack
Observed an East aspect at 11,900’. HS: 210cm, with approx. 12cms of new snow from Thursday night, the top of which had become a 4cm suncrust. On shady N-facing aspects above 10,500’ the snow was cold and soft still, but all other aspects travelled on had suncrusts or a wet snow surface. CT3RP on the new snow/old snow crust interface down 4cms and CT15SP down 28cms on another crust.
Avalanche
Observed a loose wet that appeared to step down deeper and release a wet slab on a SE aspect on Mt. Emma. Appeared several days old.
