Quick report
- Weather
- warm, sunny
- Climb Name
- Mixed Master
- Ice Quality
- terrible
The lower ice pitches were scarcely climbable - many of the narrower sections in the lower ice pitches were delaminated, and screw placements were challenging. In particular, the bulge at the top of the section just after the first Fixe anchor cracked and shifted as the last of our party was climbing past it. We cleaned this basketball-sized chunk on the way down - climbing through this section would be quite difficult now, and on dubious pro. The remainder of the route was in reasonable shape, if a little on the dry side, until the WI5 pitch, which was a no-go for us.
