Avalanche Obs

We observed an avalanche on the southern end of Mt. Victoria’s east face while at the Lake Louise ski resort this afternoon. We suspect a natural trigger and size 2-3. It occurred shortly after the sun disappeared behind the mountains and temperatures began to cool. The snow cloud was large and traveled a long ways.
