Weather

The day started sunny and calm. Cloud cover started to pick up, and snow started to fall at about 11 AM. By 1 PM, the snowfall intensity was S2. Wind speed remained less than 13 mph throughout the time I was in the field.

Snowpack

I was traveling on NE-E-SE aspects BTL and NTL. Recent snowfall seteled fast and was about 4F hard 40-50 cm deep. The new snow appears to bonding well to the old snow, and the new load did not turn old PLW reactive. The 0.5-1 cm from snow surface was moist on E-SE aspects and turned into an MFcr after snowfall started. See snowpits on E and SE aspects for more details.
