About 12" of new snow. Strong winds and snow transport.
Snowpack
Although loading was intense, wind slabs seemed unreactive. Near and upper end below treeline the snowpack was 170 cm deep and fairly strong. Mostly east facing with a bit of a north tilt. We didn't perform tests on the 23 cm of 2 mm facets near the ground. ECTP11 30 cm down on precip particles. Although we got an unstable test result, there were no other signs of instability. No cracking or collapsing. Much different than northern Sawatch though it's been a bit since I've been out there.
Avalanche
None observed. We dropped a large cornice on a small but steep wind loaded slope and got no results
