Weather

Moderate to strong southwest winds continue to transport new snow. Snowfall was consistent, S1 to S2 throughout the day.

Snowpack

Near and below treeline, the rapid onset of winter since the firs of December has left very few persistent weak layers to worry about. A thin facet/crust combination can be found on southerlies about a meter down from the surface but is not especially reactive, ECTP 14-15. Northerlies near and above or any steep slope with October snow is very different story. Easy propagating ECT's can be found just below a 2 cm crust in the depth hoar layer.
