Spent last 3 days in Blair Lakes witnessing diminishing snow quality. Yesterday’s wind blown boot top powder is now generally stiffened on surface and has formed isolated wind slabs intermixed with pockets of softer snow. ENE aspect 12,000
Avalanche
No avalanche, but discomforting wind slab that influenced decision making. A couple of cracks formed, one being about 10” thick Remote trigger from lower angle slope while traveling below this isolated 38 degree slope ENE 12,000 Additionally, LOTS of natural dry loose action in Arrastra creek drainage, as well as Blair Lakes, on NNE facing slopes as well as skier triggered 10,800-12,000
