Weather

Partly cloudy, light winds, warming to low 40s.

Snowpack

Few inches of new snow from May 2 with variable crust, on top of hard crust. Top crusty was colder on more easterly facing aspect and as we went higher.

Avalanche

Several larger releases over the last several days from north east facing aspect. These carried snow that was on top of consolidated snow pack, but entrained a significant amount of snow by the time they stopped. We triggered a small loose wet release at 11,400 from a rocky outcrop that faced north east.
