Weather

Sunny skies and warm temperatures. Temps warmed rapidly during the morning and easily reached into the 40s and 50s at highway level by mid-day. NW winds were much stronger above treeline than anticipated (or that instrumentation showed). Estimated gusting to 40 mph. No snow available for transport.

Snowpack

Found solid spring conditions on E-S-SW aspects near and below treeline. Found winter like conditions on N-NE aspects above treeline. No signs of instability.

Avalanche

Observed some recent wet loose avalanche activity out of steep rocky areas, but nothing reached D2 in size.
