Weather

Skies quickly clouded up with scattered snow showers by mid-morning. Widespread steady snowfall (lots of graupel) kicked in before noon. Winds were light out of the SW at treeline.

Snowpack

No signs of instability on N-E-S aspects near and below treeline. Clouds moved in early and temperatures cooled probably keeping wet snow activity to a minimum except well below treeline.

Avalanche

Observed recent avalanche activity was limited to small wet loose snow avalanches out of steep, rocky terrain.
