Snowpack
Below treeline on a north aspect, the snowpack was still cold and winter-like, with snow temperatures well below 0C. See snow pit profile for more detail. The snow surface on east aspects near and above treeline remained cold during the time I was out. South aspects near and below treeline looked to be getting warm, however I did not really travel on these aspects. West side banks are starting to melt out, and some banks with E to SE aspects are free of snow either because of prior avalanches or melt-out. Banks with E aspects that weren't adequately blown and areas where the aspect shifts a bit more northerly still hold a fair bit of snow.
