We rode the 2 main couloirs off the north face of Paddy's peak. The ascent up the south face around 1230 revealed a supportive crust that hadn't completely frozen overnight. Clouds were keeping the sun away at the time, but once they cleared we chose to avoid the slope. Sheltered north facing slopes featured good riding with shallow but fast sluffs. By 1630 snow below 1500m had become nearly isothermal (0C and unsupportive) even on flat terrain.
