Winds were calm throughout the entire trip and no visible blowing snow on the highest ridgelines. The temperature remained in the single digits and a very light snow was falling on occasion from thin clouds. No new accumulations during the trip but 10 centimeters of low density (<5%) snow was on the trail
Snowpack
At 11,200' on a northeast facing slope, the snowpack was 105 centimeters deep with three significant layers. The top 30 centimeters was the past weeks storm snow, fist- to fist +. The mid pack is 4 finger- to 4 finger +, also right side up. Below that is the fist hard basal depth hoar. ECTN 10 @ 75 new old interface ECTN 24 @ 40 No cracking observed on trip.
