Weather
Sunny and breezy. Very warm temps (warmest day of the year to date). Strong winds above treeline moving snow in the alpine all day long.
Snowpack
The snowpack along the 145 corridor continues to settle with time and a long stretch with little significant loading. HS has decreased slightly over the past month. Recent warm and sunny weather has left firm melt freeze crusts on the surface 6-15 cm thick. The lower snowpack remains stratified with several weak layers in the higher elevation paths. However, these layers did not prove reactive with testing today (ECTX at White Lizard). It already looks like the snowpack is turning towards spring in the sunniest lower-elevation slopes, where the snowpack has thinned and turned moist in some areas. Northerly facing paths continue to harbor mostly very weak faceted snow from top to bottom.
