toured up towards cayoosh pk today, a class 2 fun battle low down in punchy trees to get up onto the main glaciated bench. lots of skier activity in lower elevations from the weekend. Don't think anyone had been up in the Armchair yet though (no tracks). 3 m HS at 2000 m in a fatter lee area. About 2 m on the rain crust. widespread sh to to 15 mm below 1800 m. could be spicy if it gets buried by a little preservative layer tomorrow as forecast. Evidence of a few slabs (over on Honey Bronzed ~sz2 looked like in HST several days old, and on Cayoosh headwall sz 1.5 likely in HST several days old. Also some cornice debris (still soft) had come down. Cornices looming large for this time of year. Ski quality somewhat wind affected in Alp about 20-30 cm ski pen. excellent below tl with less wind affect and tinkling sh. Overall great conditions for November.
