Compression test 1 resulted in CTH 21 down 13cm on the top of the crust, CTH 21 down 16cm below the crust, and CTH 21 down 28cm where the snowpack changed from faceting crystals, to round crystals. There was a large temperature difference between to 2 layers at the 28cm depth. Compression test 2 resulted in CTH 21 down 13cm on the top of the crust, CTH 22 down 16cm on the bottom of the crust, CTH 23 down 28cm on the facets/rounds interface, and CTH 25 down 45cm on crust. We also performed an Extended Column Test which had very similar results to the compression test, and no propagation. Results were ECTN 22 down 13, 16, and 28. The fracture character on all the layers was a sudden collapse. A very planar fracture, but they did not slide easily. Snow was dry.
