Some OK turns to be had alpine to treeline in more protected areas, away from an aggressive wind crust. Lower trees have a limited snowpack and was definitely type 2 fun getting back to the highway. The area needs more snow. Sharks still all over the place up high and not enough snow down low for a quality descent.

75 cm snowpack with the November crust 40 cm down. The crust was about 2 cm thick with relatively good consolidation on either side of it. CT resulted in nothing. Shaking the block after the fact didn't result in any visible shears and the block stayed relatively intact. Air temperature was 0 at about 1 pm. Snow temperature 10 cm down was -5 with a mellow decline to -8 before following a gradual gradient back up to -3 at the base. Sun crust had developed on south and southwest slopes. Windcrusts ranging from strong to bulletproof were prevalent at and especially above the treeline on west slopes.
