Helen shoulder burn

Toured up Helen shoulder and skied the open alpine run directly lookers left of the burn. On our way up through the trees we encountered around 10cm of soft snow. As we got into the alpine and out of the trees the wind affect was prevent on most aspects. Anything unsheltered was hard underneath with a few cm of snow on top making for punchy unpredictable turns. Felt multiple buried windslabs but all were unreactive as we kept to safe terrain. Ended up skiing one lap as conditions weren’t good enough to keep us motivated and it was getting later. All in all a good day with limited signs of instability and less than ideal snow.
