Hanging Lake Wind Slab

Skied the slopes down to Hanging Lake. There was an obvious wind slab near ridgetop, and a lot of wind transport still occurring. Several small (up to Sz1.5) naturals had released in Calla Tree and on the NW runs down to the lake by the time we arrived at Hanging Lake. Very easily ski cut a Sz1 wind slab on a small steep roll near the ridge. Crown was about 20cm. We made conservative terrain choices and had a great day skiing pow. Another party triggered a skier accidental Sz1.5 20-30cm deep on another steep roll near ridgetop. The crust below 1200m mentioned in the forecast did not exist here. Straight out of the parking lot I was able to pole probe a solid crust about 120cm down on a flat open slope (presumably from before this storm cycle). No other crust was present above this. Reports from Whistler indicate that the crust didn't form there either - people were raving about Lower Insanity and trees down to the valley.
