Or maybe it milked us? I'm udderly unsure about that... Good riding conditions below treeline and in areas sheltered from the wind. Lots of wind, blowing snow and touchy conditions at ridge top.

We tip-toed onto the overhead slope that funnels into holy cow in the morning and the surface released with a slab fracture. It was only a few cm thick and low cohesion, but it quickly gained mass and was running fast and far. I then stepped on a touchy cornice at the top of the run and it easily released as a block a bit larger than a refrigerator. It stopped near the end of the fan and didn't trigger anything else other than more sluff. We went back a couple hours later and the start zone got refilled. Sluffing was more intense on the second run, and I triggered another small slab half way down the chute after my partner had already skied down (4th track in that run today). It was a small cookie about 15cm deep, maybe 2m wide, cracked above me, and then more sluff, but very light.
