We stayed at the Asulkan Hut on Wednesday (Feb 5). We skied the trees below the hut that afternoon and didn't notice any signs of instability. The snow rode great although it was a little slow because of the cold and abrasiveness of the snow. This morning (Feb 6) we skied down the ridge line that wraps around the hut skiers left down to the bottom of the drainage below the Triangle Moraine. We then made our way up the moraine using an existing skin track lookers left along the ridge. It was cold in the shade but beautiful in the sun. I dug a pit at the top of the moraine and got a result of CTH25 down 60cm, RP on what seemed to be the Jan 7 SH layer. HS was 190cm. The ski down the moraine was amazing!
