Toured into Iago North Bowl then back up to Great Bear bowl. Performed column test on 30deg slope at the top of Iago North Bowl. Snow depth approx 235cm. Resistive fracture at CT16 about 30cm down, did not want to fully slide off even after full arm smacks. The rest of the column was very stable and wouldn't fracture even with hard hits. Fist hardness for the first couple centimeters from the fresh snow, then ~4 fingers down to the fracture point followed by ~1 finger down to an icy crust about 100cm down. Great Bear bowl was wind affected, especially the traverse across the saddle from Iago, almost looking like ocean waves. Snow was great once in the bowl, stability seemed good from ski cuts while entering on the ridge line. Temperature was cold all day, so with the rising temps / new incoming snow stability may change.
