East aspect at 2350 m TL at 1:30 pm Feb 2; ~ -5 deg, overcast, evident high winds at ridge lines. ~ 150 cm HS, 10 cm ski pen, 30 cm boot pen; top 20 cm 4F, 1F below for at least another 20 cm; dry. Hand shears generally unremarkable. Some occasional minor signs of cracking localized around skis; otherwise good skiing conditions in sheltered tree areas. Snow down at 2100m noticeably a bit heavier and slightly more moist. ATL contrast of barren windswept windward slopes and large leeward cornices.
