Kept expectations low today, but got pleasantly surprised with some ankle deep supportive turns in the sub-alpine. Stayed away from wind slabs and stuck to low angle slopes. Exit through dense trees low down was doable thanks to supportive layers under foot. Overcast throughout the day with light flurries, temps between -7 and -2. Surface snow stayed dry.
